10 New Ones is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Thomas Weiling. It was released on October 16, 2011. As the title suggests, it is a simple mod consisting of 10 levels, similar to an episode, but is played in seamless level form.
It was made at the same time as the unreleased Wolf Overkill project, and was an easy, old-fashioned project when comparing the two. Originally intended as a genuine map set including only map files and no EXE or graphics, a handful of new graphics were added and a simple EXE was coded by Havoc.
Thomas would eventually realize the idea of a map set the following year.
On October 19, 2011 an EXE for Windows 98 users was released; a bemused Havoc remarked to Thomas that he did not understand these cave dwellers but nevertheless complied and made the EXE. Every other mod Thomas released after this time would be exclusively in SDL.
