10 New Ones is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Thomas Weiling. It was released on October 16, 2011.

Description[]

As the title suggests, the mod is a simple set consisting of 10 levels, similar to an episode, but played in seamless form.

Genesis[]

The mod was made in the late summer and early autumn of 2011, the same time as the unreleased Wolf Overkill still lay in the pipeline. Compared to that mod, 10 New Ones was an easy, old-fashioned project. Originally intended as a genuine map set including only map files and no EXE or graphics, a handful of new graphics were added and a simple EXE was coded by Havoc.

Thomas would eventually realize the idea of a map set the following year.

Versions[]

On October 19, 2011 an EXE for Windows 98 users was released; a bemused Havoc remarked to Thomas that he did not understand these cave dwellers but nevertheless complied and made the EXE, which was not a true DOS EXE but an SDL exercise compiled for better compatibility with older operative systems.
