Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a game based on the Wolfenstein 3D engine. It was made by JAM Productions and released by Apogee Software in December 1993, a week before id Software released DOOM.

Though Blake Stone featured impressive improvements to the Wolfenstein 3D engine such as floor and ceiling textures, animated objects, more than 60 levels and numerous other features, the release of DOOM eclipsed that of Blake Stone, and as such, it fell by the wayside.

Two games were made; the initial release, also dubbed Aliens of Gold, and a 1994 sequel entitled Planet Strike.

Numerous Wolfenstein 3D mods borrow from Blake Stone, either in terms of graphics or sounds and music. Standouts include Blake Wolf, Area 51 and Wolfenstein Collection.
