Blake Wolf is a mod for shareware Wolfenstein 3D. Initially released as a VSWAP compiled by Andy Nonymous, Brian Lowe made maps for the patch during the early months of 1999. The set was updated occasionally, with the final 10-level version being finished on May 6, 1999.
Description[]
Andy Nonymous was busy in 1999, sometimes collaborating with Brian Lowe in breathing new life into old existing patches or converting graphics, e.g. Blake Stone, or Operation: Body Count into shareware Wolfenstein. Lowe finished his first map for the set in January 1999.
The set features a good deal of textures, sprites and sounds from Blake Stone, with some being omitted due to the limitations of shareware Wolfenstein. Though Blake Stone used a different palette, most colors have been replicated fairly well.
Ports[]
On June 8, 2010, numerous shareware sets were released bundled with SDL EXE's; among them was Blake Wolf.
The set was a major inspiration for Blake Revolution.
