CMapset1 is a map set for shareware Wolfenstein, made by CapM. It was released on October 22, 1998.
Versions[]
Originally posted on a website outside of the Dome and other known Wolfenstein 3D websites, the set was uploaded by Brian Lowe on November 7, 1999. This version featured only new maps. A VSWAP file was attached, though it was merely that of shareware Wolfenstein 3D v1.4.
A different version, with the VSWAP dated to 2009, appeared some years later, both on the Dome as well as The Wolfenstein 3D Vault. When and how this VSWAP came to be is unknown. To add to the confusion, the 1999 Dome upload listed the file as CMapset2, whereas the 2009 VSWAP version was listed as CMapset3. This particular VSWAP may have been made at an earlier time; in August and September 2009, Brian Lowe re-uploaded or updated numerous older sets.
