Castle Hasselhoff is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Michael Collin. It was released on February 21, 2007.
Description[]
The mod features 20 seamless levels and numerous new graphics; some of these came from the Image World and some were original, made specifically for the David Hasselhoff-themed mod. Coding changes were numerous; these included textured floors and ceilings, shading, animated objects, 3D directional objects and many more. Many new music chunks and sounds are also featured.
Genesis[]
The project was underway for more than a year. The first sign of life was on October 4, 2005 when a number of screenshots were posted. These screenshots did not feature textured floors and ceilings. In January 2006, a different set of shots were produced, here showcasing the motorbike that had recently been coded into the EXE, along with textured floors and ceilings.
Trivia[]
Castle Hasselhoff was one of the titles originally considered for Wolfenstein 3D by id Software.
While they were collaborating on Nazi Operation, Collin also sent some early drafts to Thomas, who was very impressed. These early drafts featured a handful of features and graphics not present in the final 2007 release.
The first five levels of The Final Solution was also set in a Castle Hasselhoff.
