DOOM: Legions of Hell is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by insurrectionman. It was initially released on March 19, 2007.
Release history[]
First released in March 2007 as a vanilla mod, some revisions were later made until October 2007 where most bugs had been squashed. Five years later, it was ported to the Wolf4SDL engine for better performance and compatibility; particularly in terms of rendering the game's floors, ceilings and backdrops. Initially released on Christmas Day 2012, the SDL port was later updated with the most recent version dating from March 4, 2013. On this very same date, insurrectionman also released the SDL source code.

Initially inspired by AReyeP's WolfenDOOM, the mod takes the DOOM imagery even further, becoming virtually indistinguishable from DOOM. Around the same time, Klooni was released, marking a shift in heavy-duty Wolfenstein 3D mods. 40 levels are featured, spread across four episodes.
The mod was followed up by DOOM: Legions Revisited.
