Evil in Iron is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by John Bucksnort. It was released on June 17, 2000.
Description[]
The mod is the third installment in the Tragedy at Istanbul series. 10 new levels are featured on Episode 1. Level 5 was made by Paul Gibson. Some graphics were also changed; some of these came from Spear of Destiny or the Spear Mission Packs. No coding changes were featured, however.
Evil in Iron (Doom graphics)[]
On November 13, 2000, a graphics patch for the mod featuring DOOM graphics was released. This patch came with the EXE for 2nd.zip, originally compiled by BJ Rowan. Furthermore, The New Evil, released in July 2001, is essentially a revamp of this set.
Ports[]
An SDL port was released on June 9, 2012. This port also featured a newly compiled DOS EXE, courtesy of Andy Nonymous. Some bugs were fixed for the purpose. Later, an SDL port containing the DOOM graphics patch was released on August 18, 2012; also ported by Andy Nonymous. Though this release did not feature a new DOS EXE, the newly compiled SDL EXE (essentially that of 2nd.zip) increased the number of static objects and actors more as to prevent any bugs or crashes.
