Femstein is a mod for Spear of Destiny, made by doomjedi. It was released on April 1, 2007.
Background[]
The mod came into fruition with assistance from WLHack, using The False Spear as its base. It features 18 new levels (16 regular and 2 secret) in an X-rated atmosphere that sees the player take on naked or topless women, armed with various weapons. A slightly Amazonian atmosphere can be felt.
Many new graphics appear, including domestic, X-rated and gory sprites. Most textures were changed as well. Coding changes include textured floors and ceilings, new weapons, exploding items, gun bobbing, 3D directional sprites, new enemies and animated sprites.
Versions[]
Quite a controversial mod due to its excessive nudity and violence, a patch was released five days after initial release which fixed some graphic issues. Initially announced in 2006, it also marked doomjedi's entry to the wider Wolfenstein 3D modding scene which would eventually culminate in Team Raycast and numerous other notable projects, making Femstein a particularly interesting debut mod.
Ports[]
The mod is only available in DOS, as work on a probable SDL port, fl. January 2009, only reached the planning stage.
