Escape from SS Prison is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Brian Lowe in collaboration with Ronny Zeitz. It was released on July 15, 2000. An Acorn/Archimedes version followed soon after.
Description[]
60 levels are featured all in all; Brian made the 10 new levels, which appear in Episode 1. The remaining maps all come from Wolfbel 1. Zeitz changed the graphics, all of which were borrowed from other mods. The SS guard from the Spear Mission Packs replaces the mutant, and the officer has been replaced by the chain gun-wielding blue guard from Ultimate Wolfenstein. Some sounds were also replaced; as such, the original version only featured new maps and a different VSWAP.
The new VSWAP was included in the PC version, but not in the Acorn/Archimedes version which was released on its own right as a straight map set. This map set was available for PC users as well.
Versions[]
On November 2, 2005 an updated PC version was released with a different EXE in which Brian had made rudimentary coding changes for the mod, including ceiling colors and increased health and ammo. Some levels were slightly updated as well. This new version was labeled v1.1 and overwrote the original July 2000 version.
