Frayed is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Joshua Waight. It was released on May 14, 2009.
The full version contains 30 levels, with the February 2009 demo containing only 10. Many graphics were changed, and the atmosphere channels themes of zombie/Gothic and contemporary styles.
Some graphics were borrowed from DOOM and Blake Stone, but many were new and/or edited by Waight himself.
The February 2009 was given an SDL reboot, entitled Fiend Edition, and was re-released on November 27, 2010.
