Gorenstein is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Sam Feichter. Originally released in the early months of 1999, its most recent configuration came out on January 21, 2000.

Description[]

The mod features 10 maps played on Episode 3. Many graphics have been changed to evoke a bloody and gory theme. No coding changes were featured.

Legacy[]

The mod was updated a handful of times throughout 1999 and early 2000, sometimes under the moniker Super Gorenstein. Almost two decades later, the set featured in AstroCreep‘s ECWolf compilation WOLFPAK. A straight ECWolf port was released in 2019. This mod spawned its sequel, Gorenstein 2: Attack of Josef Hitler.
