Heretic: Return of D'Sparil was a mod that was announced by Wes Desjardins in August 2003. Numerous screenshots were released, and depicted a sword and sorcery atmosphere, inspired by the Heretic series.
One screenshot depicted a textured floor, reminiscent of running water. As Desjardins slowly left the community during late 2003 and early 2004, no further news were heard on the project.
