Hotel Pornostein is a mod for shareware Wolfenstein 3D, made by Mr. Choi. It was released on February 22, 2003.
Genesis[]
When Hotel Romanstein was released in August 2004, Brian Lowe mentioned that he had received this add-on but was cautious about its release due to its X-rated appearance. It was however hosted under the name porstn.zip on February 22, 2003 on the Dome's server, though never posted.
Description[]
The mod is essentially an early version of Hotel Romanstein, featuring the same levels, but full-on nudity is featured here (the dog has been replaced by a naked woman with a whip) and textures (including anal intercourse and closeups of breasts). These were removed or replaced for Hotel Romanstein. Still, the SS guard (super stud?) replacement remains the same.
Some textures also featured actual photos of porn actresses, intercourse close-ups or Playboy spreads; one of these being from an issue that featured actress Denise Crosby, otherwise known from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Other such celebrities might be found - spot them if you can.
Map theft and reuse[]
All of the 10 maps from Hotel Pornostein are based on the 10-level set Mr. Wolf 5, however sprinkled with more sprites and different guard placements.
