Hotel Romanstein Gold Edition 2 is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Mr. Choi. It was released on October 26, 2009.
Description[]
It was released in SDL and features 60 new levels, played in episodic flow. Of the many new graphics, the jungle texture and a handful of sprites were borrowed from Operation: Letzterschutz, making for an atmospheric outdoors feel. X-rated graphics are featured, with the bodies of some guards becoming naked when they are killed. Some textures likewise show more skin than usual, though none X-rated as such, with bare breasts being covered. New sounds and music are also featured, some of which came from various mods such as The Golden Episodes and Femstein.
Versions[]
Though using SDL's advantages, a DOS patch was nevertheless released simultaneously. As no coding changes were featured, the reason why the standard registered version of Wolfenstein 3D's SDL port would not work with the files was due to the usage of registered Wolfenstein v1.1 - this was all fixed in the DOS patch. The patch only includes VGA & EXE files.
Legacy[]
This proved to be the final full installment in the series, as Gold Edition 3 had been announced (with screenshots) in early October 2009 and released as an alpha a month later.
