Icons of Chaos is a mod and editor for registered Wolfenstein, made by Try Hard Wolfers. It was released on October 20, 2024.
Description[]
The mod strips all the interactive graphics out of Wolfenstein 3D, instead opting for a look that owes more to the icons in the mapping menu in ChaosEdit. Features automap, different enemy behavior and new music. Additionally it can run custom maps by loading them through an input command in the menu.
Map Editor[]
The project comes with another mode accessed in the main menu which functions as a simple 3D map editor to make maps for Wolfenstein 3D or any project compatible with it. It only supports importing and exporting of .map files in ChaosEdit format. The user picks up and places walls or objects in 3D while warping between two flexible coordinates to shorten the editing time. Due to limitations or design the maps can be only 64x48 in size.
