Invasion of the Cartoons is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Ian Summerfield. It was released on May 17, 2005.
Background[]
A 6-level demo featuring only the first episode had already been released on March 5, 2005. The full version would later replace the demo as there were no notable changes other than the addition of the remaining 5 episodes.
Description[]
As alluded to in the title, the player will face various cartoon characters. These include the trio from Ed, Edd n Eddy, Family Guy's Lois Griffin, various characters from SpongeBob SquarePants and a number of others, including Marcie from Peanuts, who has been added as a new stand-alone enemy. 36 levels are featured, spread out across 6 episodes.
The EXE was based on Project: Unzerstöbarer Ritter (via The Doom Spear), and Mega Luigi also participated in the project.
Bugs[]
If the player clicks on the Read This! menu, the EXE will crash. No help art files are included, either.
Legacy[]
Before and after the mod's release, enemies were available for download on Majik Monkee's Image World.
