Project: Ironstone was a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Alex Brosseau. It was announced in 2003 and updates were posted frequently.
Long in the running, and featuring many coding changes for its time (Textured floors and ceilings, multiple new weapons, weather effects, artifacts, exploding oil drums and collapsible columns) it was never finished, and only the source code and a dummy level was ever released. All files were included.
Alex left the modding community after this.
Despite the availability of a large EXE and a source code, nobody attempted to make a mod out of it.
