The Final Solution v4.0: Eisenfaustian Bargain Edition is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Tris. It was released on April 11, 2023.
Background[]
The mod is essentially an updated port of 2000's The Final Solution v2.0 with its original maps being kept in place with some additional extra added items and bug fixes, including hitherto inaccessible secret areas. The Final Solution v2.0's source code had a secret level accessed from level 7 though this was not used in 2000. It was however used here, leading to level 22 which was likewise unfinished in 2000 but was retouched and polished with a few new areas added by Thomas Weiling, a longtime fan of The Final Solution v2.0. MCS assisted with coding.
Description[]
21 levels are featured (20 regular, 1 secret) though one level appears at map spot 21 but is inaccessible/inescapable (formerly known as level 0). New music has been added from DOOM II, in addition to many new sounds. Likewise, the palette has also been changed in line with Kurlandfront and Testament. True to form, Tris put together some new graphics that relied more upon the original v2.0 atmosphere than previously.

A patch for level 19 was released on May 7, 2023 that adds the gold key.
