Tribute - The Best Map in the World is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by various contributors. It was released on April 2, 2024.
Background[]
The project was incited by Atina as a tribute to MrWolfForever, which came about during a discussion of maps and the quality thereof. The set was put together in one week.
Description[]
7 levels are featured, made by various artists. The levels are not introduced by author, but by title instead. Those who contributed were Atina, Gerolf, Orka, Nexion, Serpens, Thomas and Tris.
Though by far and large a map set, the coding changes were notable and included:
- Faster pushwalls - double speed
- Faster doors - double speed
- Enable/Disable Mouse-Y-Movement
- WASD support
- Shading option
- Gun-bobbing option
- Pistol start for each map
- Automap with stats
- Map selection menu
- Minor fixes
The map selection menu enabled the player to either play and select just one map, as well as the classic option to play the set from beginning to end.
