Wolfen-Terror is a mod for registered Wolfenstein, made by Matte Software. It was released on February 16, 2003.

Description[]

The mod features 4 levels. The outline is more modern, with the only playable episode, Skyscraper Action, taking place in a skyscraper where terrorists have taken hostages. Coding changes include different values assigned to pickup of ammo and health, different scores and ambient sounds. Colored floors, a new sign-on screen, the ammo box from Spear of Destiny and a handful of other additions are also present. Many graphics have been borrowed from Ben Blaufarb's Tekkoudan, but the mod otherwise take an influence from Operation: Buzz Bomb and the Spear mission packs.

New music is taken primarily from TNT Evilution, though some of the IMF conversions are faulty.

Release and future[]

Initially released in February 2003, the mod was updated on April 8, 2003 due to a missing key on level 3. In the meantime, Matte Software had dug up numerous old projects that had been released on the Wolfenstein 3D Dome.

On April 7, 2005, an update was posted on the mod. The set now featured textured floors and ceilings, a rocket launcher guard, many new maps and various other coding changes. This version was never available, however, and the update proved to be the final signs of life of the mod.
